Comments: A slightly simplified and cheaper version of the WAG325N.

While some people report no probems with this one, I hear so many reports of poor wireless performance I can't recommend it. The equivalent routers (WRT series) are fine. It just seems when used with a modem chip (WAG series) they run into troubles.

Wireless is not a problems but worse of all is too hot and very bad cheap capacitors to fried. I owned this model last 14 months leaving power on 24/7 starting to dropped out constantly.
    DON’T BUY THIS MODEL.
I should’ve get Billion 7800N for excellent gaming.

this modem can by no means be called a wireless modem, for it’s range is not more than 4-5 meters! Completely waste of money. I will definitely change it soonest. Please Trust me and do not buy it. Zyxel or airties are far better.

Worse router I have ever used, I was suckered in by the ’Cisco’ brand name and after this experience I will never buy another Linksys.

This would have to be one the worst routers ever made! Wireless constantly drops connections. There is no DHCP lease reservation what so ever! Therefore this router is in my mind down right useless and not worth a 1/3 of the asking price. Linksys by "Cisco" I believe is trying to go off of the Cisco reputation, but in my mind has ruined it! DO NOT BUY!

This router is a complete waste of money for anyone wanting to hook up a laptop via wireless while running Vista. The router needs to be rebooted every time the laptop is restarted to enable the laptop to connect.

This is the worst wireless router I have ever had. I had a new one exchanged for a new one after just one day, with linksys support taking me re-configuring it overnight and still it would only give 75% strength with a distance of 5m away, across one wall. I can only conclude it is a poor design.

None of my previous wireless routers - which incl. Apple, planex, belkin and other linksys G and N wireless routers are such poor performers.

In fact, both running parallel, my old apple airport express gives full strength at a distance of 15m away across 2 walls, while this linksys has dropped to 50%.

I bought Linksys because of their reputation. Very disappointed.

This as an alright router, the wireless is mediocre, but it still does its job, everytime i restart my laptop that has vista, i am required to restart the router as well, which is a pain. The other PC that i am using it with (with XP) works flawlessly. I hope they come out with a firmware update to fix the Vista issue...

Works Fine - except for wireless. This requires a either a router reboot or an disable/enable in the setting to kick it into live everyday. Tried all firmware from 1.0.09 to 1.0.0.15 and same result

Every site that these range of products have gone into, I’ve had to remove them due to wireless connectivity issues. They connect fine with no encryption, but not with security. Firmware updates or not, and Linksys doesn’t want to know about the problems. Sad, because Linksys/Cisco makes great products; except for this piece of $#*&!

Does not get on well with Vista wirelessly (Toshiba Tecra M10 Vista Business). Works well for a day or so and then comes up with limited connnectivity, and ’identifying’ my network, treating it as public although it’s private. Tried the regedit as per the MSoft KB but to no avail. I’m just connecting via cable until Windows 7 is released and then we’ll see if this is resolved. Connects to XP and MacBook Pro flawlessly. Reading some forums I see a lot of angst by buyers and apparently Linksys have withdrawn support for this device? If so, that’s pretty average for something that’s hardly been out for a year or so.
