Comments: With similar capabilities to the Snapgear SG580 the Vigor2950 represents extremely good value for money at close to half the price. Great to see a gigabit switch too. This one is sure to be popular.
SSL VPNs are also featured with up to 50 sessions supported

Identical experience as John. The FVS336G also had another problem: SPEED. Only around 45Mbps of download and I’m not speaking VPN here. Tested also Zyxel USG100. Low speed, in the same range ~50-55Mbps, and HUGE timeout on restart/reboot (about 1,5 minutes). Finally got the Vigor 2950 (too bad I didn’t know to wait for 2955), and it’s wonderful. Over 90Mbps download, dual WAN, SSL VPN(with new firmware it supports other browsers too - originally only IE). The reboot time? Under 18 seconds!!!

Good reliable piece of equipment. SSL VPN works brilliantly with Vista, but not 64-bit. IpSec VPN works fine with 64-bit Vista and is easy to set up. The browser interface is good but not intuitive. The manual is complex but it needs to be because the capabilities of this unit are extensive. Fan is a bit noisier than a PC fan. I am using it with a bridged Vigor 120 modem which seems fine too.

This Draytek replaced a Netgear FVS336G which had a great manual, a good browser interface, but was very unreliable, shutting down and rebooting itself sometimes several times a day.
