Comments: With a built-in ADSL modem, a 2nd WAN port for an extra modem or a Cable modem), 3G broadband support, 802.11n wireless and a built-in ATA for VoIP, the 2820Vn has all bases covered. In the lead up to its release onto the Aussie market I think it's generated more enquiries than any other product I've known.

Excellent Router. Bought this for our church and it has been 4 months now and we are happy with it. It is very stable. The ability to manage it remotely over the internet is useful, as the admin can remotely login and see the system up time.

Constant firmware upgrades, and 12 differnt versions to test each time, make this a nightmare product to manage. Add to that, without a doubt, the worst firewall setup ever developed which is clunky at the best of time, means I would not recommend this for anyone who has a complex system.

Note from OzCableguy: The first firmware version listed, usually with [Standard] in the description, is the way to go. The other modem code versions are only there to try if you experience issues with sync rates or other ADSL issues.
For help with any configuration difficulties check out the Draytek online knowledge base or other support options here.

Solid router. Very stable and loaded with features. Wireless coverage is insanely good with the 7dbi antenna upgrade. I could probably use my laptop down the street!

Bought this to replace my Billion 7404 VPNX modem that I was having stability problems with. Haven’t had to reset the router a single time since I configured it which is awesome.

Can’t quite give it full marks due to two reasons.
    1) The single gigabit port. I mean why would you skimp on this Draytek? With just the cost of 3 more gig ports you could have produced the killer modem. Instead in order to get full speed LAN users have to buy their own gig switches adding hundreds of dollars unnecessarily.
    2) The poorly thought out front facing ports will make this otherwise attractive modem an eyesore in your living room. I had to hide it inside the TV entertainment unit just so I didn’t have to look at all those cables poking out.

Other than those two minor issues I can highly recommend this modem.

Great product, factory default firmware works well with Bigpond ADSL2. Sync’s much faster than the Draytek V2800VG it is replacing. VOIP used thru Engin is very good. Overall worth every cent.

Rock solid performance - excellent VPN options, the most versatile modem/router/ATA/WAP out there for home and business use - Caller ID not working for me also, VOIP crystal clear - would think that there will be an upcoming firmware release to address current bugs - highly recommend it to those in the market for a wireless N does all (with ease) set and forget box..

    Voip Caller ID doesn’t work.
    PSTN relay doesn’t work.
Voip unusable when heavy net traffic. (Acquires a dialtone AFTER number is dialled) and there’s no way to flash the phone over to PSTN to dial out that way.

    Very substandard firmware.
