Comments: A very exciting product from Draytek with a bit of everything. How good is this:
First it has an ADSL modem AND a WAN port to accept an external modem (eg cable) AND it can also take a 3G USB modem*. These can all be set up for load sharing or failover too. The USB port can also be configured as a USB print server if you don't have or need 3G broadband.
On the LAN side we have 3 x 10/100 ports and a gigabit port for a high speed connection perhaps to uplink to a gigabit switch.
On the inside it has everything from built-in VPN tunnels which can be either PPTP, IPSec, L2TP or L2TP over IPSec, content filtering to bandwidth control (QoS)
Also to be released with 802.11n wireless in the Vigor2820n model and with a built-in ATA for VoIP in the Vigor2820Vn.

    * Click here for 3G modem compatibility list (not all 3G modems are compatible)

Note: The USB port on the back can be used for either a print server or a 3G modem. The 2910, 2820 & 5510 series can support a USB hub so you can use it for both a print server and the 3G modem at the same time. However, this feature is not available on the 2800 series because it doesn't have the processing power to cope with it.

Have had nothing but problems with draytek 2820. slow to reboot and too many variables that make for getting some settings wrong. internet used to be fast before i implemented this product. no it is intermittent and terribly unreliable.

Been using all features of Draytek Vigor 2820Vn for almost year to run SOHO network through Optus Mobile Huawei USB Modem. Absolutely A+++ performance on all accounts including two voip lines. So glad I paid extra $’s which have been paid several times over by no wasted time. I have had experience with all major brands and Draytek is clearly superior.
