Comments: Similar to the DIR-635 but with a 4 port giga switch instead of 10/100.
The USB port on the back can be used for a USB flash drive to transfer XP's WCN (Windows Connect Now) wireless security settings or as a print server using D-Link's Shareport technology.

Note: SharePort also features 3G modem capability but without a list of compatible 3G modems I can't class SharePort capable products as 3G compatible at this stage.

For best results use with D-Link Xtreme N or RangeBooster N wireless adapters.

Fast and good customer service from OzCableguy. Easy setup. Getting an average of 20Mb/1Mb Down/Up on Bigpond Cable Elite. 1 week installed now and its still totally stable (unlike my old NetGear). I would recommend this router.

A visit to D-Links forums indicated that setting up as per D-Links instructions was far from optimal so I used the settings recommended by many posters there and all is good. I get 70Mb/s through four plaster walls and a distance of 15m. Overall I’m very happy with the performance of the DIR-655.
