Web configuration tool now and then stops responding and has to toggle the power.
It seems the problem occurs more often if the DYDNS feature is enabled. |

Same problem as Rookie and need to reboot sometimes within minutes. However some websites stay active but can’t connect to others. Email via Outlook Express stay connected all the time. Was searching the web for a solution as D-Link can only offer setting up the network as NAT and that won’t work with my ISP, /D-Link instructions even say that. Any ideas Would be really helpful |

I have had this for a few months. At first it seemed to work great, easy to set up and get running. However, lately I have noticed that it requires regular rebooting by turning it off and on again (about once every day or so) otherwise the internet connection slows down. The LAN works fine though. It could be a configuration error or an error somewhere else, I am not a router expert. |

My DI-704UP (rev C) router had given in due to a power surge I faced after 4 long yrs or so of great work so I had to replace it.
Upon opening the DIR 120 Internal Config I was overwhelmed at how well they had simplified the GUI making it easy even for a layman to understand what’s needed to do eg. Forwarding ports on the LAN and NTP settings and also the print server and MAC filtering and the list goes on. I really can say that this interface was simple and worked well. As for getting it to work out of the box, I had it working within 1 minute (if that) even with a McAfee firewall sitting in background. I needed little to no knowledge in order to get it to run (bigpond Cable user with 3 pcs at home all on LAN and were up within 1-2 minutes mostly because I had to plug their CAT cables in). Told my McAfee firewall to trust my LAN IP range and all went ok. I don’t understand anyone having problems with a device that’s so simple and easy to configure/set up a great replacement for the DI-704UP I had previously. Even better as it’s very easy to configure. |

A lot of websites are not accessible once the router is connected. Messed about with MTU for hours and hours but could never figure get it working. Even got the unit replaced and that didn’t help. No one wants to help or has any answers... Waste of money.
By the way! I didn’t purchase this router from the "OzCableGuy". I wish i had, because it certainly looks like he knows what he’s talking about and he may have been able to help me :( |
