Comments: A more advanced version of the 7404VGPX still with a built-in ADSL modem and support for USB modems* but this one comes with with 802.11n wireless and a 4 port giga-switch

New feature added October 09 is the ability to convert LAN Port 1 to an Ethernet WAN port. Either the ADSL, Ethernet WAN port or the 3G connection can be selected as the primary connection and any one can be selected as a failover. Load sharing is not featured at this stage but may be added in a future firmware release.

What can i say This Modem router was very easy to configure out of the Box.

VoIP was very easy to set up all the Configuration tools are in Logical spots.

Have had very few issues with it.

Very strong Wifi signal and Range, even better now that I replaced the stock Antennas with Larger ones..

Purchased around a month ago and the setup was easy. Buying this device has replaced a Modem, Wireless Router and VoIP router. Initially very happy with it, however did have some teething problems.

The WebGUI would drop out for no reason even though the device would still be issuing DHCP leases etc and working like intended I just couldn’t make any config changes. I posted a comment on Whirlpool Forums and within 10 minutes had a response from the Billion Rep!!!

He quickly identified that it had a problem so a replacement was shipped and arrived the next day express!!! After sales support it AMAZING and I am VERY happy with how things are working so far.

The replacement device has a newer firmware and has been rock solid since!

Speedtests have been better than my old equipment and although VoIP has a few laggy calls, I think its more a config issue. Just need to find the time to tweak the settings. :)

My only other comment on this one is, if you have some weird problems - make sure that it is not powered through a power board. Some weird things would happen however since connecting directly into an outlet its been great.

Happy customer and I am currently rolling out 20 more of of these units to my Telecommuters so they can work from home, with the VPN traffic back to the office setup as high priority in the QOS settings.

    :)

excellent piece of gear. easy setup, voip quick start was easy as. on iinet getting 18mbits, 3mbit improvement on my last modem/router. 27 day uptime, manually rebooted after tweaking voip setting to get rid off some receiver end echo. rock solid performance. on g wireless devices getting full 54mbps connection even at lower than full signal strengths.

Love this, set up for 3G only with VOIP thru mynefone. No ADSL, place is on a short lease. Works great, serving 11n reliably. Easy configuration also.
