Comments: The main difference from the cheaper 5200N is that the 7300N features a LAN port that can be reconfigured as a WAN port to allow connection of an external ethernet modem such as a Cable or FTTH modem instead of using its built-in ADSL modem. Note that it is not a true dual-WAN product as such and will not allow load sharing or failover between two broadband connections.

Just revisiting to see what others comments have been. Revise my review to one of the worst routers I ever regretted buying. All 3 units now dropping out the ADSL. Port forwarding to support Voip does not work. ICMP forwarding still not fixed since firmware update. Wireless range is worse than old 802.11G router that it replaced. Billion Tech support just deny issues, wont test for the problems in their own labs and ignore me. Other Billion models all seem to have excessive user issues according to reviews. WTF are they doing.

Note from OzCableguy: This is surprising to hear as these have been popular sellers for several years with no common complaints so I’m inclined to think maybe a couple of faulty units or poor ADSL line conditions are to blame here.
Dropouts are usually due to one of the causes mentioned in FAQ http://www.ozcableguy.com/routerfaq.asp#3.7
Checking with Billion regarding port forwarding issues.
Other than that contact Billion support as a possible fault under warranty.

2 out of the 3 that I purchased loose internet connectivity on a daily basis. The 1 that seems to work reliably is within 100m or the exchange.
Also, the ICMP forwarding does NOT work in the port forwarding options.
