Products: Fritz AVM7270 Fritz!Box ADSL2+ Router with VoIP, DECT, Wireless N, 3G, USB Media Sharing
Comments: One to compete with Belkin's "Bob". Built-in ADSL modem, ethernet WAN port for Cable or NBN (LAN port 1 configurable), built-in cordless phone base station with some PBX & answering machine capabilities, 802.11n wireless (switchable between 2.4GHz and 5GHz), FXS ports for other phones, USB port for printer, Hard Drive or 3G*, IPv6 support and a massive 5 year warranty. It can also take up to 6 handsets. (The Fritz! AVMMT-F handset is recommended and has other features you may not get in a standard cordless phone but there are others that will work. Click here for a list of alternate handsets.)
Also available is the Fritz! AVMWLAN Wireless USB adapter with the Fritz! "Stick and Surf" security system. * Click here for compatible 3G modems. Latest firmware supports Sierra 312U. Note: There are reported problems with earlier firmware versions, particularly for FTTH or NBN use, so ensure latest firmware version is installed before doing anything else. Note: The Fritz doesn't come with a factory reset button so it must be done via the web interface, which is not much help if you've lost contact with the router. However, an alternate method is to plug a phone into it and dial #991*15901590*. The process takes around two minutes from there.
